Marking collected lets the logger reuse those blocks. Save a copy first - this cannot be undone.
Carrousel
Defaults are the deployment: L4, Verdaguer (stop 427). An arrivals feed answers for now, so leave Poll running while the logger is out - the matching needs the two to overlap in time.
Tune
Connect to a unit and its settings appear here: observation (the duty cycle, and the only thing that moves the battery), what gets recorded, the indicator LED, and reachability. Every one is read from the unit and written back to it, so there is nothing to show until there is a unit.
Endurance
Observation
How often the radio listens. On this board that is nearly the whole energy budget - the receiver draws 3.7 mA against 0.2 mA for everything else - so battery life is very nearly the continuous life divided by the duty cycle.
What gets recorded
Turning a type off buys storage, not battery. The share each one costs is measured from the last journal you collected, so the numbers below are this deployment's, not a guess.
Indicator LED
This applies only while the unit is deployed: on battery, provisioned, with nobody connected. Two situations ignore it entirely, because in both of them somebody is standing at the unit.
On the charger everything is shown and the energy is free. The charge state owns the LED whenever it has a verdict, and the heartbeat only fills the gaps - the two used to run together, which is two messages at once in two colours. The button is the mute: one press silences the lot, another brings it back and plays the status report. The mute is forgotten when you unplug, so a unit cannot be sent out dark.
During a maintenance session the LED behaves normally and the blue connection state outranks the charge reds, because the person who would read it is the one holding the phone.
Deployed, a button press, a power-up or an unplug brings the LED back for 5 s: the heartbeat, and the first 5 trains it sees. A pass produces dozens of sightings and nobody is watching an unattended unit, so it confirms it is working and then goes quiet. Identify is the one thing that works at every setting, including dark - a unit you cannot pick out of a row is worse than one that shows a light.
Reachability
How often the unit announces itself once its two-minute window has closed. Slower is cheaper and takes longer to find; it is never silent. Pressing the button always reopens the fast window.
